Robert Meyers

Robert J. Meyers, Ph.D. has been in the addiction field for 32 years and at the University of New Mexico for over 22. He is currently the Director of Robert J. Meyers, Ph.D. & Associates and an Associate Research Professor Emeritus in Psychology at the University of New Mexico. Dr. Meyers is the winner of the 2002 Dan Anderson Research Award from the Hazelden Foundation, the 2003 Young Investigator Award from the Research Society on Alcoholism, and 2005 Alumni Achievement Award from the School of Social Work at Southern Illinois University. Dr. Meyers is an internationally known speaker and trainer who has delivered training in 31 different states in the USA, and in 11 different countries on 4 continents. He has published over 70 scientific articles and papers and co-authored 5 books on addiction treatment, including “Clinical Guide to Alcohol Treatment: The Community Reinforcement Approach”, “Get Your Loved One Sober: Alternatives to Nagging, Pleading and Threatening” and “Motivating Substance Abusers to Enter Treatment: Working with Family Members”.
